Arcadia Farms recently hosted one of the most delightful evenings to showcase wines from the Willamette Valley region of Oregon. Picture this: stars twinkling, cool breezes finally blowing, sunflowers tucked everywhere and a 4 course farm to table dinner paired with regional Oregon wines….topped off with the most lucky dinner guests in town!
The evening was set in a private Arcadia Farms courtyard allowing guests to mingle, sip and socialize while anticipating the beautifully executed meal and wines to come.The stars of the evening were the wines, one of which was being poured for the first time in Arizona.Torii Mor and Witness Tree Vineyards Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir were the grapes of choice
The first course of the evening was a sumptuous butternut squash soup drizzled with creme fraiche, sprinkled with toasted pepitas complimented by a crisp Pinot Gris
Next up: Grilled pork tenderloin with an apple, cranberry chutney coupled with scalloped potatoes and roasted brussels sprouts paired with a “Witness Tree” pinot noir, the perfect pairing for this very savory course!
The evening’s menu was served European style with a salad of figs and blue cheese tossed with toasted hazelnuts following as the third course. This course was paired with a “Torri Mor” pinot noir.
and lastly guests were treated to an autumn dessert of pumpkin creme brûlée accented with a gingerbread leaf cookie paired with a very special pour of Witness Tree “Sweet Signe”, this being the first time this wine was served in our state.
this magical evening was the best story made up of wonderful chapters of food, wine, ambiance and guests! We send a heartfelt thanks to the wine makers and their wineries, our palettes were tantalized on all levels!
