LUNCH + LEARN: Easy Summer Pies

Listen, lunch, and learn at this 2 hour workshop with Ellen Straine. Enjoy a demonstration of our favorite sweet & savory seasonal summer pies including Mixed Berry Pie with Lattice Crust, Lemon Pie with Marshmallow Meringue, Peanut Butter Cup Tart, Peach Galette, Chocolate Macadamia Tart, and more!

Class Price: $60 per person (tax and 22% service fee additional). Purchase tickets here.

What To Expect: Look forward to a fun and casual class led by visiting food stylist, Ellen Straine.

  • Class is 2 hours, and will be held in our La Estancia private dining room (assigned seating)

  • Class limited to 12 guests

  • Enjoy a light lunch and refreshments throughout the class

  • Demonstration of several sweet & savory pies and galettes along with recipes to take with you.

  • A variety of miniature pies to enjoy at home!

Ellen has been a food stylist since 1993. She grows vegetables, herbs, and flowers in her backyard gardens that often appear in her work. Using her experience and culinary creativity, she has styled food for advertising, cookbooks, menus, magazines, billboards, television, social media, and packaging. She lives in Scottsdale, Arizona, with her husband Jeff and their seven rescue dogs: Tootsie, Sparky, Stinkerbelle, Buddy, Wrigley, Angus, and Ozzy.


Doing our part to be as safe & sanitary as possible.

The health and well-being of our team and guests has always been, and continues to be, our number one priority. We are taking additional steps during our cooking classes to protect our staff and our guests.

  • Heightened sanitation and hand washing.

  • All staff outfitted in face masks and gloves.

  • Team members devoted to full time cleaning and sanitation of all high contact areas (door handles, tables, restrooms, etc.)

  • Partitions will be placed between separate parties.

  • Table spacing in accordance with social distancing guidelines.

  • Class size will be limited to 12, with no more than 4 guests at a table.

While we have modified our operations, we will continue to monitor the situation closely and follow the guidance of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), as well as local and U.S. Government officials, to quickly adapt and take the appropriate precautions.
